Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı; fen bilimleri öğretmen adaylarının hem grafik okumada hem de çiziminde tercih edecekleri grafik türünün belirlenmesi ve değişik türlerde verilen grafikleri okuma ve çizim becerilerinin ne düzeyde olduğunu belirleyerek grafik okuryazarlık seviyelerini tespit etmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemi; Fen Bilgisi Eğitimi Anabilim dalında öğrenim gören birinci sınıfında 42 ve üçüncü sınıfında 35 olmak üzere toplamda 77 öğretmen adayından oluşmaktatır. Araştırmada, ölçme aracı olarak dört bölümden oluşan grafik testi kullanılmıştır. Testin, birinci bölümünde okumada tercih edilen grafik türleri, ikinci bölümünde çizimde tercih edilen grafik türleri, üçüncü bölümünde grafik okuma becerisi ve dördüncü bölümünde ise grafik çizim becerisinden oluşmaktadır. Teste; alan, çizim, halka, radar ve sütun grafik türlerine yer verilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının testin birinci ve ikinci bölümüne vermiş oldukları cevaplar yüzde olarak, üçüncü ve dördüncü bölümüne vermiş oldukları cevaplar ise puan olarak hesaplanmıştır. Üçüncü ve dördüncü bölümde her bir soru 20 puan üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Testin geçerliği için iki fen bilimleri öğretmeni ve Fen bilgisi Eğitiminden iki Profesör öğretim üyesinin görüşüne sunulmuş, tavsiyeler üzerine gerekli düzeltmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışmada öğretmen adalarının Alan, Halka ve Radar grafik türlerinde yeterli düzeyde olmadıkları, ancak çizgi ve sütun grafiklerinde üst düzeyde becerili oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının en çok zorluk çektiği grafik türü ise radar grafiktir.

Abstract
The aim of this study; it has been tried to determine the graphic literacy levels by determining the type of graphic that pre-service science teachers will prefer both in reading and drawing graphics, and by determining the level of reading and drawing skills of graphics given in different types. The sample of the study; it consists of a total of 77 pre-service science teachers, 42 in the first grade and 35 in the third grade, studying in the Department of Science Education. In the research, a graphic test consisting of four parts was used as a measurement tool. The test consists of graphic types preferred in reading in the first part, graphic types preferred in drawing in the second part, graphic reading skill in the third part and graphic drawing skill in the fourth part. The test; area, drawing, ring, radar and column chart types are included. The answers given by the pre-service teachers to the first and second parts of the test were calculated as percentages, and the answers to the third and fourth parts of the test were calculated as points. In the third and fourth sections, each question was evaluated over 20 points. For the validity of the test, two science teachers and two professors from Science Education were consulted, and necessary corrections were made upon the recommendations. In the study, it was determined that the pre-service teachers were not at a sufficient level in Area, Ring and Radar graphic types, but they were highly skilled in line and column graphic. The type of graph that pre-service science teachers have the most difficulty with is radar graph
