Abstract
İletişim becerisi verimli ve kaliteli güvenlik hizmeti sağlamanın temel taşıdır. Bu çalışma meslek yüksekokulu özel güvenlik programında okuyan öğrencilerinin iletişim becerilerini belirlemek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Bu araştırmada iletişim becerileri bilincine yönelik bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Çalışmada anket yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Bu yaklaşımla elde edilen bilgiler kullanılarak sonuca ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları örneklem içine giren çalışanlara elektronik ulaşılarak uygulanmıştır. Veriler elektronik ortamdan SPSS 15.0 yazılımına aktarılmıştır. Kocaeli Üniversitesi Hereke Ömer İsmet Uzunyol Özel Güvenlik ve Koruma Programında okuyan 70 öğrencinin iletişim becerilerinin ne düzeyde olduğunu ortaya çıkarmayı amaçlayan bu çalışmaya ilişkin görüşler incelendiğinde düzeyin “cinsiyet ve “iletişim eğitimi” alma durumu değişkenlerine gore istatistiki olarak anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği, katılımcıların yüksek düzeyde iletişim becerisine de sahip oldukları görülmüştür

Abstract
Communication skills are the cornerstone of providing efficient and quality security service. This study was prepared to determine the communication skills of the students studying in the private security program of the vocational school. In this research, a study was conducted on the awareness of communication skills. Questionnaire method was used in the study. The conclusion was reached by using the information obtained with this approach. In the study, data collection tools were applied to the employees included in the sample by reaching them electronically. The data were transferred to SPSS 15.0 software from electronic media. When the views on this study, which aims to reveal the level of communication skills of 70 students studying at Kocaeli University Hereke Ömer İsmet Uzunyol Private Security and Protection Program, are examined, it is seen that the level does not show a statistically significant difference according to the variables of "gender and "communication education", and that the participants have a high level of communication skills. were found to have the ability.
