Abstract
Sanatın bilenen ve en belirgin özelliği, dışavurum yoluyla oluşturulan ifadeler ile şekillenmiş olmasıdır. Dışavurum, sanatsal yollar ile açığa çıkan duygusal tepkilerin ruh halini yansıtan, özgün ve özgür bir anlayıştır. Bir çeşit tepki olarak tanımlanırsa dışavurum, grotesk anlatım da onun daha ironik, korkunç, abartılı ve tuhaf durumlarını betimleyen bir yönü olarak tanımlanabilir. Sanatın resim, heykel, mimari, edebiyat, tiyatro vb. dallarındaki grotesk anlatımları geçmişten günümüze kadar varlığını sürdürmüş ve sürdürmeye devam etmektedir. Plastik sanatların hemen her alanında görülen grotesk ifadelere grafik sanatının baskı tekniklerinden olan gravürde de rastlamak mümkündür. Buradan hareket ile bu araştırmada gravür sanatındaki grotesk ifadelerin örnek resimler üzerindeki etkilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, eserlerinde grotesk ifadelere yer veren sanatçı Gustave Dore’nin dışavurumcu 10 gravür çalışmasıyla sınırlandırılmıştır. Literatür taranarak eser analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak gravür sanatında dışavurumcu anlayışla yapılmış bu örneklerin daha derinden incelendiğinde grotesk anlatımlar da barındırdığı tespit edilmiş; grotesk anlatımın getirdiği vurgu, ironi, alaycılık, karmaşa, abartı, çirkin, korku, tuhaf, çift değerlilik, maskeleme, kaos, fantastik, çelişki, metamorfoz gibi zengin imgelerin ve duygu durumlarının kompozisyona yansıdığı belirlenmiştir.

The most recognizable and most distinctive feature of art is that it is shaped by expressions created through expression. Expression is an original and free mantality that reflects the mood of emotional reactions revealed through artistic means. If it is defined as a kind of reaction, expression, grotesque expression can be defined as an aspect of it that describes its more ironic, terrible, exaggerated and strange situations. Art, painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, theatre, etc. The grotesque expressions in its branches have survived from the past to the present and continue to do so. It is possible to encounter grotesque expressions seen in almost every field of plastic arts in etching, which is one of the printing techniques of graphic art. From this point of view, in this research, it is aimed to examine the effects of grotesque expressions in the art of etching on sample arts. The research is limited to 10 expressionist etchings of artist Gustave Dore, who includes grotesque expressions in his works. Artwork analysis method was used by scanning the literature. As a result, when these examples, which were made with an expressionist understanding in the art of etching, were examined more deeply, it was determined that they also contain grotesque expressions; It has been determined that rich images and emotional states such as the emphasis, irony, sarcasm, confusion, exaggeration, ugly, fear, strange, ambivalence, masking, chaos, fantastic, contradiction, metamorphosis brought by the grotesque expression are reflected in the composition.
