Abstract
Üniversitenin tarihsel gelişimini ve öncüllerini anlamadan günümüzdeki üniversiteleri tam olarak anlamak ve üniversite faaliyetleri ile ilgili uygun politikalar geliştirmek ne yazık ki mümkün değildir. Ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde ekonomik ve toplumsal gelişme büyük oranda girişimcilerin omuzlarında yükselmektedir. Günümüz koşullarında sahip olduğu iş fikrini bir girişime dönüştürmek ve o girişimi yaşatabilmek önemli yetkinlikleri gerektirmektedir. Bu gerekliliklerin kişilik özellikleri, aile, sosyo-ekonomik koşullar gibi kısımları üniversite dışındaki faktörlerce oluşturulurken önemli bir kısmı ise üniversite eğitimi safhasında kazanılabilir. Bu çalışmada, girişimci-yenilikçi üniversite kavramı kuramsal olarak ele alınarak tartışılmıştır. Üniversitelerin evrimsel olarak geçirdiği dönemler incelenmiş, girişimci-yenilikçi üniversite kavramı ve özellikleri ile güncel olarak literatür çerçevesinde girişimci-yenilikçi üniversite modelleri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda gelecek çalışmalar için üniversitelere ve araştırmacılara yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract
It is unfortunately not possible to fully understand today's universities and develop appropriate policies regarding university activities without understanding the historical development and predecessors of the university. Economic and social development at the national and international level is largely on the shoulders of entrepreneurs. In today's conditions, transforming the business idea it has into an enterprise and keeping that enterprise alive requires important competencies. While parts of these requirements such as personality traits, family, socio-economic conditions are formed by factors outside of the university, a significant portion of them can be acquired at the university education stage. In this study, the concept of entrepreneurial-innovative university has been discussed theoretically. The evolutionary periods of universities were examined, the concept of entrepreneur-innovative university and its characteristics and the current entrepreneur-innovative university models were discussed within the framework of the literature. At the end of the study, suggestions were made to universities and researchers for future studies.
