Abstract

Self-Leadership is a self-impact perspective concerned with the ability to manage, direct and control one's own personal behavior and develop strategies to achieve desired goals for sustainable competitive advantages. Previous research has found positive associations between Self-Leadership and various individual and organizational outcomes regarding innovative behavior. Still, few studies have explored the role of personality traits as possible antecedents of Self-Leadership.Entrepreneurs are active drivers in the economic development of countries. In the entrepreneurship literature, self-leadership and innovative entrepreneurship are considered as the driving force for the sustainable development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The aim of this study is to theoretically examine the relationship between Self-Leadership, innovation and innovative entrepreneurial behaviors and to present a model. In terms of purpose, the findings of the literature show that Self-Leadership has a significant and positive effect on innovative entrepreneurs.
