Abstract
Bu araştırma, ilkokula başlama yaşının öğrencilerin okula uyumu üzerindeki etkisi hakkında öğretmen görüşlerini tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya İzmir ili Menemen ilçesinde bulunan 12 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Öğretmenlere sekiz adet açık uçlu soru sorulmuştur. Seçilen öğretmenler ile yapılan görüşmeler yüz yüze gerçekleşmiş olup isimleri saklı tutulmuştur.
Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; çocukların beş yaşında ilkokula başlamaları hazır olmamalarından dolayı uyum sağlayamadıkları, öğrencilerin okula daha iyi bir şekilde uyum sağlayabilmeleri için oyun odaklı derslerin işlenmesi gerektiği, ilkokula beş yaşında başlayan çocukların duygusal yönden olumsuz olarak etkilendikleri ve özgüven eksikliği yaşadıkları, öneri olarak çocukların beş yaşında okula başlamaması gerektiği, ilkokula beş yaşında başlayan çocukların duygusal ve sosyal açıdan olumsuz olarak etkilendikleri ve uyum problemi yaşadıkları, ilkokula beş yaşında başlayan çocukların bedensel gelişim açısından da olumsuz olarak etkilendikleri, ilkokula beş yaşında başlayan çocukların dil ve iletişim becerilerinin de olumsuz olarak etkilendiği, ilkokula beş yaşında başlayan çocukların akademik gelişimlerinin de olumsuz olarak etkilendiği ve başarısızlık duygusu oluşturduğu görülmektedir.

Abstract
This research was conducted to determine the opinions of teachers about the effect of primary school starting age on students' school adjustment. 12 teachers from Menemen district of İzmir province participated in the research. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. Eight open-ended questions were asked to the teachers. The interviews with the selected trainers were conducted face to face and the names were kept confidential.
According to the research results; At the age of five, children cannot adapt because they are not ready to start school at the age of five, the quality of the course courses are required for the students to adapt to school better, the children at the age of five are affected by the emotional aspects of primary school and they lack faith, it is recommended that children start school at the age of five, Children at the age of five are affected negatively by the emotional and social environment and have adjustment problems, children at the age of five are negatively affected according to the developmental evaluations of their children, children at the age of five are adversely affected when they include language and communication, women who start primary school at the age of five have a negative impact on their academic development. seem to be affected and destroyed.
