Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin iyi olma hallerini etkileyen unsurların öğrencilerin görüşlerine göre belirlenmesidir. Bu bağlamda mevcut çalışmada, ortaokul öğrencilerinin iyi olma halleri üzerinde etkili olan etmenler ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemi ve durum çalışması olarak desenlenmiş olup veriler Mersin ili Silifke ilçesi ortaokul kurumlarında öğrenim görmeye devam eden 8. sınıf öğrencilerinden toplanmıştır. Araştırma katılımcılarının belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme stratejisi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri alanyazına ve uzman görüşlerine dayalı olarak geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılımış görüşme formuyla elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada toplanan verilerin analizinde betimsel içerik analizi yöntemi kullanıllmıştır. Bu araştırmanın sonuçları şunlardır: (I) Öğrencilerin iyi olma halini etkileyen unsurlar; sosyal ve ekonomik hayatı, eğitim hayatıdır. (II) Öğrencilerin okul ve öğretmenlerden beklentileri; akademik beklentiler, psikolojik destek beklentisi, aktiviteler ve fiziki şartlar. (III) Öğrencilerin iyi olma halinin eğitim hayatına etkileri; olumlu etkiler,olumsuz etkiler olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına dayalı olarak uygulayıcılara; okullarda velilere aile içi iletişim ile ilgili eğitimler düzenlenmesi, akademik düzeyde başarısızlığın nedenlerinin araştırılıp tespit edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda çalışmalar yapılması, okullardaki rehber öğretmen eksikliğinin giderilmesi, okuldaki öğretmen ve yöneticilere etkili iletişim becerileri eğitimleri düzenlenmesi, okullardaki sosyal ve sanatsal etkinliklerin öğrenci istekleri doğrultusunda arttırılması, öğrencilere olumsuz duygularıyla başa çıkabilmeleri için düzenli aralıklarla uzmanlar tarafından eğitimler verilmesi önerilerinde bulunulmuştur. Araştırma sonuçları ilgili alanyazınla ilişkili bir şekilde tartışılmış ve bazı öneriler sunulmuştur.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the factors affecting the well-being of secondary school students according to the opinions of the students. In this context, in the current study, the factors affecting the well-being of middle school students were tried to be revealed. The research was designed as a qualitative research method and case study, and the data were collected from 8th grade students who continue to study in middle school institutions in Silifke district of Mersin province. Criterion sampling strategy, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used to determine the research participants. The research data were obtained through a semi-structured interview form developed based on the literature and expert opinions. Descriptive content analysis method was used to analyze the data collected in the study. The results of this research are as follows: (I) Factors affecting students' well-being are social and economic life and educational life. (II) Students' expectations from schools and teachers are academic expectations, psychological support expectations, activities and physical conditions. (III) The effects of students' well-being on their educational life are determined as positive effects and negative effects. Based on the results of the research, practitioners are advised to organize trainings for parents about family communication in schools, to investigate the causes of academic failure and to work in line with the results determined, to eliminate the lack of guidance counselors in schools, to organize effective communication skills trainings for teachers and administrators in schools, to increase social and artistic activities in schools in line with student requests, to provide regular trainings by experts to help students cope with their negative emotions. recommendations were made. The results of the research are discussed in relation to the related literature and some suggestions are presented.
