Abstract
Toplumsal değişim bireysel ve toplumsal olarak yaşamın genelinde yaşanır. Toplumsal değişim kendini sadece ilerleme olarak değil, gerileme olarak da kendini gösterebilir. Toplumların eğitim düzeyleri ilerleme veya gerileme yönünü belirler. Eğitimlere bağlı olarak toplumların geriye doğru da değişebilecekleri görülmektedir. Sürekli bir etkileşim içerisinde olan eğitim ve toplumsal değişimin tarihsel süreç içinde de etkileşmeye devam etmişlerdir. Toplumsal değişmeye uyum sağlamada öğrencilerin okullarda aldıkları eğitimin büyük önemi vardır. Eğitim kurumlarında alınan bilgi ve tecrübe ile öğrenciler değişimi başlatırlar. Sanayileşme, göç, ihtilaller, salgın, savaş gibi toplumsal olayların eğitim üzerindeki etkileri bu makalede değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract
Social change is experienced throughout life, individually and collectively. Social change can manifest itself not only as progress but also as regression. The level of education of societies determines the direction of progress or regression. It is seen that societies can also change backwards depending on their education. Education and social change, which are in constant interaction, have continued to interact in the historical process. The education students receive in schools is of great importance in adapting to social change. Students initiate change with the knowledge and experience gained in educational institutions. The effects of social events such as industrialization, migration, revolutions, epidemics and war on education are evaluated in this article.
