The term “Child Abuse” is an historical one. Chıldren have been faced to abuse throuhout the history. Today, it remains to be a problem. This problem traumatize the victim as well. If it is not healed, the trauma might lead to criminal tendancy. Importance of the social work for this issue should not be overseen. However, the ones with this problem can not treat the others. So, this study is conducted in order to assess possible abuse of the students’ childhood taking into consideration of their socio-demographic backgrounds. Workshop consists of 152 students who accepted to volunteer from the department of Social Work of Kırıkkale University Delice Vocational School and Faculty of Social Work. In the study, Personel Information Form is used to collect socio-demographic attributes of the students. As for the Child abuse experiences Child Abuse Scale is employed which is adapted to Turkish by Kaya(2014). As to the results that the average of the students who had physical deprivation is 41.18 While the average for emotinal deprivation is 8.58, physical abuse is 6.64 and sexual abuse is 8.14. This shows that the most common problems are physical and emotional deprivation. There is no significant difference between genders. However, age, family structure, parents’ profession, children number, with whom the child age is passed, existence of psychical disease and violence make difference. It can be stated that the ones aged 18-20, living with nucleus family, born to as second or third sibling, staying with relatives in childhood, having housewife mother, having worker father, psychical disease, and violent students have underwent more abuse in the childhood.
