Abstract
Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerindeki gelişmelerin ekonomik yaşama entegre olmasıyla, ekonomide gerçekleşen dönüşüm, ‘4. Sanayi Devrimi’ olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Özellikle 21. yüzyılın başlarına tarihlenen ve benzeri görülmemiş bir hızla süregelen teknolojik gelişmelere bağlı olarak, ekonomik dönüşüm de sürekli güncellenmektedir. Bu gelişmeler, günlük hayatlarımıza dokunduğu gibi ekonomik ve sosyal hayatımızı da etkilemekte, literatürdeki birçok bilimsel tanımı baştan şekillendirmektedir. Üretim faktörleri üzerindeki etkisi her geçen gün artan, dönüşen ve dönüştüren bir kavram olarak “dijital ekonomi” de yeni bir araştırma alanı olarak yerini almıştır. Ancak hızla değişen ortam ve imkanlarla dijital ekonomi için tek tip bir tanımlama yeterli gelmemektedir. Bu çalışmada, dijital ekonomi tanımı kavramsal olarak irdelenerek, dijital ekonominin teknolojik değişime bağlı yaşanan paradigmal değişim karşısında nasıl evrildiği yoğunluk ve kapsam açısından incelenmekte, ekonomik hayatı nasıl şekillendirdiği tartışılmaktadır.

Abstract
Transformation of economy with the integration of developments in information and communication technologies into economic life is called ‘4th Industrial Revolution’. Economic transformation is thus updated continuously depending on technological developments which are dated back to beginnings of the 21st century particularly and continuing at a pace which has not been preceded. As well as touching our daily lives, those developments are affecting economic and social life, furthermore shaping many scholarly definitions all over. The “digital economy” which has an increasing influence on factors of production has come up as a new field of research due to being a concept both transforming and transformer. However, unlike conventional economy, one type of definition of digital economy may not be deemed sufficient because of rapidly changing technologies. In this study, the definition of digital economy will be examined and how digital economy has inverted in the face of paradigm shift depending on technological shifts will be evaluated in terms of intensity and context. How digital economy has been shaping economic life will also be discussed therein.
