Abstract
Araştırmanın amacı, Toplumcu Gerçekçilik Akımı’nın müzikteki yansımasını Şostakoviç’in “The Song of the Forests” (Ormanların Şarkısı) adlı oratoryosu örneği üzerinden göstermektir. Çalışmada, ilk olarak Toplumcu Gerçekçilik Akım’ı, Müzikte Toplumcu Gerçekçilik Akım’ı ve Şostakoviç’in Oratoryo’yu besteleme süreci anlatılarak kavramsal arka plan oluşturulmuştur. Sonrasında Oratoryo’nun müzik ve metin analizi verilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, Şostakoviç’in eseri istemeyerek bestelediği, eserin siyasi propaganda amacıyla bestelendiği, Oratoryo’nun Stalin’in 2. Dünya Savaşı’ndan sonra çorak kalan arazileri ağaçlandırma projesi kapsamında yazıldığı ve bestelendiği, eserin Stalin’i yücelten ideolojik bir eser olduğu, müzikte Rus Halk Müziği motiflerine sıklıkla yer verildiği, Oratoryo’nun 2.bölümünde Toplumcu Gerçekçilik müzik anlayışına uygun olarak dans ritimlerinin ve diatonik armonilerin kullanıldığı, eserin 4. bölümünde Toplumcu Gerçekçilik müzik anlayışına uygun olarak müzikte iyimser bir atmosfer yakalamak için mutlu bir scherzo kullanıldığı, eserin 5. bölümünün Toplumcu Gerçekçilik müzik anlayışına uygun olarak marş formunda bestelendiği, eserin 6. bölümünde Toplumcu Gerçekçilik müzik anlayışına uygun olarak tenor solonun Rus halk müziği stilinde söylendiği, eserin son bölümünde Stalin’i, Rus halkını ve Lenin’i yücelten dizilere yer verildiği, yine aynı bölümün müziğinde Toplumcu Gerçekçilik müzik ve şiir anlayışına uygun olarak tüm orkestrayla birlikte büyük bir füg kullanıldığı, eserin Toplumcu Gerçekçilik Akım’ının müzik alanındaki en önde gelen örneği olabileceği ve eserdeki bütün bölümlerin Toplumcu Gerçekçilik Akım’ına uygun bir şekilde bestelendiği gibi anlamlı sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
The aim of the research is to show the reflection of the Socialist Realism Movement in music through the example of Shostakovich's oratorio "The Song of the Forests". In the study, firstly, the process of composing the Socialist Realism Movement, the Social Realism Movement in Music and Shostakovich's Oratorio was explained and the conceptual background was created. Afterwards, the music and text analysis of the Oratorio is given. As a result of the research, it was concluded that Shostakovich composed the piece unintentionally, the piece was composed for political propaganda purposes, the Oratorio was written and composed within the scope of Stalin's project of reforestation of the barren lands after the Second World War, the work is an ideological work glorifying Stalin, and that the work is in music. In the second part of the Oratorio, dance rhythms and diatonic harmonies are used in accordance with the Socialist Realism musical understanding, in the 4th part of the work, a happy scherzo is used to capture an optimistic atmosphere in music in accordance with the Socialist Realism music understanding. In the 6th part of the work, the tenor solo is sung in Russian folk music style in accordance with the Socialist Realism music understanding, in the last part of the work, there are sequences glorifying Stalin, the Russian people and Lenin, and the same Socialist Realism m in the music of the episode Significant results have been achieved, such as the use of a large fugue with the entire orchestra in accordance with the understanding of music and poetry, the work may be the most prominent example of the Socialist Realism Movement in the field of music, and all the parts in the work were composed in accordance with the Socialist Realism Movement.
