Abstract
Hızla küreselleşen ve dijitalleşen bir dünya, bireylerin algılarında ve yaşayış biçimlerinde yadsınamaz bir değişimi de beraberinde getirmiştir. Hayatımızın büyük bir alanını kapsayan sosyal medyanın getirdiği bu değişimlerin hepsinin pozitif yönde olduğu söylenemez. Şöyle ki yaşadığımız bu devrim niteliğindeki değişim birçok tartışmayı da beraberinde getirmiştir. Hiç şüphesiz bu konulardan bir tanesi de sosyal medya ile hezimete uğrayan mahremiyet algısıdır. Günümüzde sosyal medya kullanımının yaygınlaşması ve ulaşılabilirliğinin zahmetsiz olması mahremiyet kavramının medya üzerinden tartışılan etik bir konu haline getirilmesine zemin hazırlamıştır. Kişiden kişiye ve kültürden kültüre, değişebilen bir kavram olan mahremiyet olgusu, sınırlarının ve kurallarının belirlenmesi gündem konusu haline gelmiştir. Bireyler sosyal medyada neyin paylaşılabilir, neyin paylaşılamaz olduğu konusunda ki sınırlarını kaldırmış durumdadır. Özel, genel, açık, gizli fark etmeksizin her şey sosyal medya için bir dijital içerik değeri taşımaktadır. Bu bazen, kişinin kendi ürünüymüş gibi, giydirip süslediği çocuğu, bazen hasta yatağında en mahrem haliyle ameliyat sırası bekleyen annesi olabiliyor. Ne için? Bir beğeni, bir tık daha fazlası için mi? Bireylerin mahremiyetleriyle ilgili bilgilerin sosyal medya aracılığı ile yayılımının toplum açısından tehlike arz ettiği yönündeki hipotezin doğruluğunun desteklenmeye çalışıldığı makalede, yaşamımızın birçok noktasında kolaylık sağlayan sosyal medyanın aynı zamanda da nasıl hezimete uğrattığı sorgulanmaktadır. Bundan yola çıkarak özel alan, çalışma ve kamusal alan esasında mahremiyet olgusu, mahremiyetin sosyal medya üzerinden kullanımı, insan ilişkileri ve mahremiyet, popüler bireylerin dünyasında mahremiyetin kullanımı üzerine örnek bir vaka, mahremiyetin sosyal medyada sergilenmesi ile sosyal medya ve mahremiyet ilişkisi başlıkları altında incelenmektedir.

A rapidly globalizing and digitalizing world has brought with it an undeniable change in the perceptions and lifestyles of individuals. It cannot be said that all of these changes brought about by social media, which covers a large area of our lives, are positive. That is to say, this revolutionary change that we have experienced has brought many discussions with it. Undoubtedly, one of these issues is our perception of privacy, which has been defeated by social media. Today, the widespread use of social media and the ease of accessibility have paved the way for the concept of privacy to become an ethical issue discussed over the media. The concept of privacy, a concept that can change from person to person and from culture to culture, and the determination of its borders and rules has become a topic of agenda. Individuals have removed the limits on what can and cannot be shared on social media. Regardless of whether it is private, public, open or secret, everything has a digital content value for social media. Sometimes this can be the child who dresses and adorns as if it is one's own product, and sometimes it can be the mother who is waiting for the surgery in the most private way on the patient's bed. For what? For a like, a click for more? In the article, which tries to support the accuracy of the hypothesis that the dissemination of information about the privacy of individuals through social media poses a danger to the society, it is questioned how social media, which makes our lives easier most of the time, also defeats it.
