Abstract
Çalışma kapsamında 18. Yüzyıl Osmanlı kadınlarının giyimlerinin Seyyahlar üzerinden araştırılmasıdır. Osmanlı iktidarı 18.19 yüzyıllar arasında gerileyiş dönemi başlamıştır. İktidarın gerilediğini gören Batılılar, kendi egemenliklerini ve modernliklerini Osmanlı iktidarına göstermek için çaba harcamıştır. Osmanlı iktidarı içinde bulunduğu bu durumdan çıkıp eski egemenliğine kavuşmak için Batı tarafından uzatılan eli geri çevirmemiştir. Osmanlı iktidarına uzatılan bu el tamamı ile himaye amaçlıdır ve daha sonra Osmanlılar tarafından fark edilmiştir. Osmanlı iktidarı 19. Yüzyıla kadar giyim – kuşamında gelenekselliğini sürdürmüştür. Osmanlı da kadınların giyim tarzlarında şalvarlar, feraceler, kaftanlar, entariler önemli bir yere sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Batı tarzına yönelim 19. Yüzyılda gerçekleşmiş ve giyim kuşam tarzı önemli bir noktaya gelmiştir. Böylelikle batı giyim kuşamının etkisi giderek artmış ve geleneksel giyim kuşamı geride bıraktığı görülmüştür.
Bu makalede 18. yy Osmanlı kadın giyim-kuşamının Seyyahlar üzerinden incelenmek ve izlerini günümüze nasıl taşıdığını ortaya çıkarmaktır.

Abstract
Within the scope of the study, the 18th century Ottoman women's clothing is researched through the Travelers. Ottoman power began a period of decline between the 18th and 19th centuries. Seeing the decline of power, the Westerners made an effort to show their sovereignty and modernity to the Ottoman power. The Ottoman government did not turn down the hand extended by the West to get out of this situation and regain its former sovereignty. This hand extended to the Ottoman power was purely for protection and was later noticed by the Ottomans. The Ottoman power continued its tradition in clothing until the 19th century. It is seen that shalwars, feraces, caftans and entaris have an important place in the clothing styles of women in the Ottoman Empire. The orientation to the western style took place in the 19th century and the style of clothing came to an important point. Thus, the influence of western clothing has gradually increased and it has been seen that traditional clothing has left behind.
In this article, the 18th century Ottoman women's clothing is examined through the Travelers and how it carries its traces to the present day.
