Abstract
Kimi zaman anne, kimi zaman eş, kimi zaman kardeş ve kimi zaman herhangi bir meslek elemanı olan kadın; toplumu oluşturan iki cinsten biri olmasına karşın farklı farklı rollerde de olsa her zaman toplumsal cinsiyet (gender) açısından erkeğin bir adım gerisinde yer almaktan kurtulamamıştır. Elbette bunun temelinde aile yapısı ve yetiştirilme tarzı oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Zamanla kadınlar ailede öğrendikleri şekilde davranmaya, toplumun genel kabul görmüş yapısına ayak uydurmaya ve bunun dışına çıkmamaları gerektiğine inanmaktadırlar. Doğal olarak çoğu zaman kendi kızlarını yetiştirirken de kendi ebeveynlerine benzer davranış sergilemektedirler.
Bu araştırma toplumsal cinsiyet kavramına ilişkin anneler ve kızlarının algılarını değerlendirmeyi ve bu iki taraf arasında toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin algısal farklılıklar olup olmadığını, varsa nedenlerini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Örneklem grubunu Hitit Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler MYO’da eğitim gören Çorumlu kız öğrenciler ve anneleri oluşturmaktadır.

Abstract
Sometimes a mother, sometimes a wife, sometimes a sister, and sometimes a woman who is a professional; although she is one of the two sexes that make up the society, she has always been one step behind the man in terms of gender roles. Of course, family structure and nurture are very important on this basis. Over time, women believe that they should behave as they learned in the family, keep up with the generally accepted structure of the society and not go beyond it. Naturally, they often behave similarly like their parents while raising their own daughters.
This research aims to evaluate the perceptions of mothers and daughters regarding the concept of gender, and to reveal whether there are perceptual differences between these two parties regarding gender roles, and the reasons, if any. The sample group consists of female students from Corum studying at Hitit University Social Sciences Vocational School and their mothers.
