Abstract
The article tells about the life and work of the famous Azerbaijani singer, People's Artist Yagub Mammadov. It tells about his creative connection with master singers in childhood and adolescence, their live performances, gramophone and radio recordings, mugam, tasnif and folk songs. It is noted that Yagub Mammadov used his unique charming voice, manner of reading and high technical capabilities of his art. He skillfully sang gazelles, which he chose and pronounced correctly, as well as mughams, which he studied and mastered. This talented artist has become the favorite and master of the singer of the people.
