Abstract
Yeşil ekonomiden sonra sıklıkla duymaya başladığımız mavi ekonomi, denizler ve okyanusları kapsamaktadır. Tıpkı yeşil ekonomide olduğu gibi mavi ekonomi de doğayı koruyarak, doğaya zarar vermeden doğanın bizlere vermiş olduğu fırsatları kullanmayı, mevcut kaynakların etkin kullanımını sağlamayı esas almaktadır. Mavi ekonomik dönüşüm gerçekleştirildiğinde yeni istihdam alanları oluşacak, temiz ve güvenilir enerji sağlanacak, biyoçeşitlilik koruma altına alınacak, çevre kirliliği azaltılacak ve mavi büyüme sağlanmış olacaktır. Dolayısıyla denizler ve okyanusların ekonomi içerisindeki payı artacaktır. Çalışmamızda sürdürülebilir kalkınma ve mavi ekonomi ilişkisi incelenmiştir ve sürdürülebilirliğin mavi ekonomi için önemi vurgulanmıştır. Mavi ekonomide sürdürülebilirliğin sağlanabilmesi için gerekli olan koşullardan mavi ekonomik dönüşümün sağlanmasının ekonomilere kazanımları üzerinde durulmuştur. Mavi ekonominin, pasta içerisindeki payı artmaya başladığı zaman ekonomiye uzun vadede katkı sağlayacak olan yeni sektörler, iş alanları incelenmiştir.

Abstract
The blue economy, which we often hear after the green economy, includes the seas and oceans. Just like in the green economy, the blue economy is based on protecting the natüre, using the opportunities that has given us by the nature –without harming the nature-, and ensuring the effective use of existing resources. When the blue economic transformation realized, new employment areas will be created, clean and reliable energy will be provided, biodiversity will be protected, environmental pollution will be reduced and blue growth will be achieved. Therefore, the share of seas and oceans in the economy will increase. In our study, the relationship between sustainable development and blue economy was examined and the importance of sustainability or the blue economy was emphasized. In this study, the benefits of blue economic transformation, which is one of the conditions necessary for sustainability in the blue economy, are emphasized. In this paper, new sectors and business areas that will contribute to the economy in the long run, when the share of the blue economy in the cake begins to increase, are examined.
