Abstract
Fotoğraf resim, tiyatro, opera, grafik vb. farklı sanat alanlarını destekleyen bir sanat olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Sinema da bu sanatlardan birisidir. Varoluş nedenini fotoğrafa borçlu olan sinema icadından bu yana fotoğraf ile olan ilişkisini canlı tutmaktadır. Fotoğraf sinema da olduğu gibi zamanı, mekanı ve insanı tanımlamaktadır. Fotoğraf bir sihir gibidir. Fotoğraf geçmişi ve şimdiki zamanı tanımlama gücüne sahiptir ve geçmiş zaman fotoğraf üzerinden canlanabilir. Geçmiş zaman sinemasal zamanın içerisinde şimdiki zamana eklemlenebilir. Birçok filmde farklı amaçlarla fotoğrafların kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Fotoğraf anlatı yapısı ve olay örgüsü çerçevesinde de sinemaya katkıda bulunur. Öykünün nasıl ilerleyeceğini, nasıl gelişeceğini, karakterin nasıl davranacağını, çatışmanın gerçekleşmesi için gereken koşulların ne olacağını fotoğraf belirleyebilir. Fotoğraf anı kaydeden bir araç olarak bellek, kimlik ve kanıt işlevini de görmektedir. Bu çerçeveden bakıldığında fotoğrafın sinema için ne kadar önemli olduğu görülecektir. Bu makale fotoğraf sinema ilişkisini genelde sinema tarihinde fotoğrafların kullanıldığı filmlere değinerek, özelde ise anlatı yapısı, olay örgüsü, karakter ve bellek kavramları üzerinden Ömer Vargı’nın yönettiği, 2007 yılı yapımı Kabadayı adlı filmi incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır.

Abstract
Photography, painting, theatre, opera, graphics etc. emerges as an art that supports different art fields. Cinema is one of these arts. Cinema, which owes its existence to photography, has kept its relationship with photography alive since its invention. As in cinema, photography defines time, space and people. Photography is like magic. Photography has the power to define the past and the present. The past tense can be revived through photography. The past tense can be articulated with the present tense within the cinematic tense. It is seen that photographs are used for different purposes in many films. Photography also contributes to cinema within the framework of plot and narrative structure. The photograph can determine how the story will progress, how it will develop, how the character will behave, what the conditions will be for the conflict to take place. As a tool that records the moment, photography also functions as memory, identity and proof. From this perspective, it will be seen how important photography is for cinema. This article aims to analyze the relationship between photography and cinema in the history of cinema, by referring to the films in which photographs are used, and in particular, through the concepts of plot, narrative structure, character and memory, the 2007 film Kabadayı, directed by Ömer Vargı.
