Abstract
Aile, çocukların terbiyesi ve eğitimi ile aile bireyleri arasındaki duygusal, sosyal ve psikolojik gereksinimlerin giderilmesi noktasında son derece önemli bir yere sahiptir. Toplumsal değişim süreciyle aile kurumunda meydana gelen değişimler sonucunda birçok ülkede olduğu gibi ülkemizde de tek ebeveynli ailelerde artış meydana gelmiştir. Tek ebeveynli aile, ebeveynlerden birinin (anne ya da baba) çocuğun bakımını ve sorumluluğunu tek başına üstlendiği bir aile modelidir. Tek ebeveynli aileler boşanma, eşlerden birinin ölümü, kişisel tercih ve geçici sebeplerden ötürü ortaya çıkabilir. Tek ebeveynli ailelerin çocuklarının iki ebeveynli ailelerin çocuklarına kıyasla karmaşık ve çok yönlü sorunları bulunmaktadır. Tek ebeveynli ailelerin çocuklarının yaşadığı sorunlar sosyal, psikolojik, ekonomik, akademik olarak çok çeşitli alanlarda görülebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, tek ebeveynli ailelerin çocuklarının yaşadığı sorunlar baba yokluğu yaşayan çocuklar ve anne yokluğu yaşayan çocuklar üzerinden ayrı ayrı ele alınmıştır. Bu anlamda, bu çalışma, tek ebeveynli ailelerin çocuklarının problemlerini incelemeyi ve tek ebeveynli ailelerin çocuklarının yaşadığı sorunlara çözüm önerileri getirmeyi amaçlamaktadır.

Abstract
The family has an extremely important place in the nurture and training of children and in meeting the emotional, social and psychological needs among family members. As a result of the changes in the family institution with the social change process, there has been an increment in single-parent families in our country, as in many countries. A single-parent family is a family model in which one of the parents (mother or father) takes care and responsibility for the child alone. Single-parent families can arise due to divorce, death of one of the spouses, personal preference and temporary reasons. Children of single-parent families have complex and multifaceted problems compared to children of two-parent families. The problems experienced by the children of single parent families can be seen in a wide variety of social, psychological, economic and academic fields. In this study, the problems experienced by the children of single-parent families were dealt with separately in terms of children with father's absence and children with mother's absence. In this context, this study proposes to investigate the problems of the children of single parent families and to offer solution suggestions to the troubles experienced by the children of single parent families.
