Abstract
Cumhuriyet dönemi Türkiye’sinin ilk porte ressamlarından olan Feyhaman Duran, “1914/Çallı Kuşağı” ressamları ya da “Türk Empresyonistleri” olarak anılan grup içerisinde yer almaktadır. Sanat yaşamı boyunca ağırlıklı olarak portre türünde eserler üreten Feyhaman Duran, 1914 Kuşağı’ndaki diğer sanatçılar gibi, akademik bir desen anlayışı ve empresyonistlerin renkçi tavrını bir araya getirerek eserlerini oluşturmuştur. Başta kendisi ve eşi’nin portreleri olmak üzere yakın çevresinden dostlarının, sanat dünyasından arkadaşlarının portrelerini çalışmıştır. Sipariş üzerine de yapmış olduğu çok sayıda portre çalışması olan Feyhaman Duran’ın, bu siparişlerinin bir kısmını meslek gruplarına göre sınıflandırılan portre dizileri oluşturur. Bu diziler içerisinde Osmanlı’nın son yılları ile Cumhuriyet’e geçiş sürecindeki Türkiye’nin; bilim, edebiyat ve eğitim alanlarında ilerlemesine ve modern dünyaya uyum sağlamasına öncülük eden, kültür dünyasındaki öncü isimlerin portrelerinin yer aldığı resim dizisi, Cumhuriyet dönemi kültür tarihinin bir haritası niteliğindedir.

Abstract
One of the first portrait painter Feyhaman Duran, Republican period of Turkey, "1914/Çallı Generation" painters or "Turkish Impressionist" are included in the group known as. Feyhaman Duran, who produced mainly portraits throughout his art life, created his works by combining an academic understanding of pattern and the colorist attitude of Impressionists, like other artists in the 1914 Generation. He worked on portraits of his friends from his close circle and his friends from the art world, especially the portraits of himself and his wife. Some of these orders of Feyhaman Duran, who has many portrait works on order, are the portrait series classified according to professional groups.
