Abstract
Distopik filmler, gelecekte veya bilinmeyen bir zamanda geçen, gerçeği yeniden biçimlendiren, kaygı verici, geleceğe dair düşündürücü bir özelliğe sahiptir. Bu çalışmada Equilibrium filmi kapsamında; distopik unsurlar, distopik yönetim biçimi ile birey ve toplumun durumu ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada akademik bir alt yapı için alan yazın taraması yapılmış, distopik filmlerdeki toplumsal düzeni oluşturan temel, ortak unsurlar ve toplum üzerindeki kontrol mekanizmaları açıklanmıştır. Sinemada distopyadan bahsedilerek, film incelemesine geçilmiştir. Filmde dayatmacı, katı yönetim biçimlerinin yol açtığı yaşam biçimleri sunulmaktadır. Örnek film aracılığıyla distopik toplumların katı, dayatmacı, insani değerlerden yoksun ve tekelci bir anlayışa sahip olduğu, toplumsal kontrolün sürekli gözetim, korku, zihinsel müdahale, şiddet ve tek tipleştirme yöntemleriyle sağlandığı bulgularına ulaşılmıştır. Bireyin değersizleştirildiği, kendisine ve çevresine karşı bir yabancılaşmaya itilerek insani değerlerini kaybettiği, bireylerin birer mekanik canlıya dönüştürüldüğü gibi sonuçlar elde edilmiştir.

Abstract
Dystopian films have a worrying, thought-provoking feature of the future, reshaping the truth, set in the future or at an unknown time. In this study, within the scope of Equilibrium film; dystopian elements, dystopian management and the situation of the individual and society are discussed. In the first phase of the study, a literature review was scanned for an academic infrastructure, the basic, common elements that make up the social order in dystopian films and the mechanisms of control over society are explained. By mentioning dystopia in cinema, film review has been started. The film is presented with lifestyles caused by imposing, strict forms of management. It has been concluded that dystopian management systems have a strict, imposed, devoid of human values and a monopolistic understanding, and that social control in these systems is achieved through continuous surveillance, fear, mental intervention, violence and uniformization methods. Results have been obtained, such as the individual being devalued, being pushed into alienation against himself and his environment, losing their human values, and the individuals being turned into mechanical beings.
