Abstract

Kaybolan toplumsal değerlerin yaşlı birer şahidi olan sokaklar, Necatigil’in şiirlerinde eskiye, geçmişe uzanan hasret yollarıdır. Sokak, tüm gerçekliği ve sesiyle Necitigil’in şirilerinde yer alır.

Abstract

Behçet Necatigil is one of the important names of Turkish poetry in the Republican Era. He did not participate in any literary movement or movement that emerged in his period, and remained independent and formed his own line in our poetry. The poet, who worked in many literary genres, is also a teacher. The poet, whose spatial element is very prominent in his poems, especially the house, includes the environment, the street and the city in his poems and establishes a poetics through them. Necatigil, who spent most of his life in Istnabul, includes the nature of Istanbul, its architecture and the daily life of its people in his poems. The poet, who incorporates the life of the middle-class people of the city into his poems through his own experiences, walks the streets of many districts of the city, especially Beşiktaş and Beyoğlu, step by step and integrates his feelings, what he saw and what he observed with his poetry. Necatigil's poems are like studies of social observation and inference. For the poet, who sees the house as a place of peace, the streets change and transform rapidly and lose their old beauty with this change and transformation; They are places that move away from nature, warm human relations, affection, cooperation and sincerity. Streets, which are old witnesses of lost social values, are the longing paths of the past and the past in Necatigil's poems. Sokak is featured in Necitigil's poems with all its reality and voice.
