ÖĞRENCİLERİN ÜNİVERSİTEYE YÖNELİK ALGILARINDA KAMPÜS VE ANA YERLEŞKENİN ROLÜ: KOCAELİ ÜNİVERSİTESİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract
Yükseköğretim öğrencilerinin üniversite yaşamına yönelik algılarını etkileyen pek çok faktörün bulunduğu söylenebilir. Bunlardan biri de eğitim-öğretim görülen fakülte veya yüksekokulun fiziki özelliklerini, sosyo-kültürel imkânlarını bünyesinde toplayan kampüsüdür. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı, öğrencilerin üniversiteye yönelik algılarında, kampüs ve ana yerleşke değişkeninin rolünü belirlemektir. Araştırmada öğrencilerin üniversite yaşamına ilişkin algılarını ölçebilmek amacıyla bir ölçek oluşturulmuştur. Bu çizgide oluşturulan ankete uygulanan faktör analizi sonucunda üniversitenin “fiziki şartları” ve “sosyal imkânları” şeklinde iki boyutlu bir yapı ortaya çıkmıştır. Söz konusu ölçekten anlamlı birtakım sonuçlar çıkarabilmek ve bu sayede eğitim-öğretim literatürüne katkı sağlayabilmek amacıyla ölçeğin öncelikle geçerlilik, güvenilirlik boyutları dikkate alınmış, ifadelere yönelik aritmetik ortalamalar da incelenerek öğrencilerin üniversiteye ilişkin algılarında kampüs ve ana yerleşke değişkeninin hangi düzeyde belirleyici bir role sahip olduğu sorgulanmıştır.

Abstract
It can be said that there are many factors affecting the perceptions of high ereducation students about university life. One of them is the campus which collects both the physical, architectural and socio-cultural opportunities of the faculty or the college.In this context, the aim of this study is to determine the role of campus and main campus variables in university students' perceptions. Inorder to measure the perceptions of students about university life, a scale was created in the study. As a result of the factor analysis applied to the questionnaire, a two-dimensional structure emerged as the physical conditions and social opportunities of the university. First of all, validity and reliability dimensions of the scale were taken into consideration in order to obtain meaningful results from this scale and to contribute to education-teaching literatüre, arithmetic averages of the expressions were examined and the level of the campus and main campus variables were determined in the perceptions of the students.
