Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul 8. sınıflarda fen bilimleri dersinde teknoloji kullanımının derse olan etkisinin öğrenci görüşlerine bağlı olarak belirlenmesidir. Özel durum yönteminin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanmış olan sekiz temel sorunun yer aldığı yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniğiyle toplanmıştır. Veriler gerekli indirgemeler yapıldıktan sonra tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Elde edilen veriler neticesinde öğrencilerin derslerde teknoloji kullanımına olumlu baktıkları, ders anlatımında öğretmenlerin teknolojiden yararlandığı ve yararlanmaya devam etmesi gerektiği tespit edilmiştir. Ancak konular anlatılırken deneylere daha fazla yer verilmesi gerektiği ve uygulamalı ders işlenmesi arzusu da öğrencilerle yapılan mülakat sonucunda tespit edilmiştir. Bu tespitler doğrultusunda, okulların laboratuvar malzemeleri eksikliklerinin giderilmesi, öğrencilerle uygulamalı eğitim yapılması ve drama (canlandırma) yöntemlerinden faydalanılması gibi önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of using technology in secondary school 8th grade science classes based on students’ opinions. Employing a case study approach, the data for the study were gathered by semi-structured interview questions involving eight fundamental questions prepared by the researchers. After having done the necessary reductions, the data were presented in tables. With the obtained data, it was found that the students perceived the use of technology in classes positively, that the teachers used technology in the teaching, and that they should continue doing so. Yet, through the interviews, it was seen that students wished more experiments should have been done while being taught and that teaching was done in a practical/applied manner. By these findings, recommendations were made about points like remedying the deficiencies in laboratories in schools, teaching students in a practical/applied manner and using drama methods.
