Abstract
İnsanoğlu için oldukça önemli olan iletişim çeşitli yollarla gerçekleştirilmektedir. Fakat kaynağından değişmeden aktarılması yazılı iletişimle gerçekleştirilmektedir ve bu yönüyle hayatımızda oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Yazı, sadece bir iletişim aracı değil, aynı zamanda insanoğlunun maddeleri, kavramları, karakterleri simgesel olarak temsil etmesinde ulaştığı bir evrenin dönüm noktasıdır. Çağlar öncesi keşfedilen ve iletişimin bir evresi olan yazı düşüncelerin çeşitli yollarla görselleştirilmiş halidir. Düşünceler görselleştirilirken kullanılan teknik ve malzemeler günümüz harf yazısı biçimine gelmesini sağlamıştır. İletişimin yazılı biçime dönüşmesi ise kendinden önceki çağlarda başlamış ve çeşitli deneme ve birikimlere aşama aşama gelişim göstermiştir. Yazının görsel ve yazılı hale dönüştürülmesinden sonraki diğer önemli aşama ise Fenikelilerin alfabeyi bulması ve Yunanlıların bu alfabeyi geliştirmesi sürecidir. Alfabenin bulunuşundan sonraki önemli süreç ise Çinli bir sanatkar tarafından kağıdın icat edilmesi sürecidir. Böylece yazının gelişim süreci hız kanamış ve zamanla keşfedilen madde ve tekniklerle çoğaltma işlemleri denenmiş sonucunda ise çeşitli baskı teknikleri geliştirilmiştir. Uzun arayışlar, denemeler ve birikimlerle oluşan yazı çeşitlenerek gelişmiş ve gelişen teknoloji ile tipografi teriminin oluşmasına da olanak sağlamıştır. Tipografinin bir terim olarak ortaya çıkışı ise kurşun alaşımlar kullanarak metal yazılar oluşturması ve elde edilen bu kurşun alaşımlarının blok kalıplara dönüştürme denenesine dayandırılmaktadır. Tipografi terimi baskı tekniklerinin gelişmesini sağlayarak günümüzde tasarım ve baskı işleminin tek bir sistem altında oldukça kolay biçimde yapılabilinmesine olanak sağlamıştır. Bu araştırma; yazı evreleri, alfabenin bulunuşu ve gelişimi, tipografi terimi ve baskı tekniği bakımından tipografi teriminin ortaya çıkışı ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Yazının günümüzde kullandığımız harf yazısı biçimini alırken hangi evrelerden geçtiğini ve bu evrelerle beraber baskı tekniği bakımından tipografi hakkında bilgi vermeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaca bağlı olarak; tipografinin gelişim süreci ve baskı tekniği bakımından ortaya çıkışı problemine çözüm getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda yapılan araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden gözlem ve genel tarama modelinden yararlanılıp ilgili literatür incelemesi yapılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Communication which is very important for human beings is realized in various ways. However, it is carried out with written communication to be transferred unchanged from its source and it has a very important place in our lives in this respect. Writing is not only a means of communication, but also a turning point for a universe where human beings have symbolically represented their objects, concepts, and characters. It has been visualized in various ways in the way of writing thoughts that have been discovered before the ages and are a phase of communication. When ideas are visualized, the techniques and materials used make it possible to form today's letter writings. The transformation of written form into communication has begun in the previous ages and has progressed gradually to various trials and accumulations. The next important step after the text is converted into visual and written is the process of the Phoenicians finding the alphabet and the Greeks developing this alphabet. The important process after the alphabet is invented is the process of inventing paper by a Chinese artist. Thus, the development process of the article has not been accelerated, and various printing techniques have been developed as a result of tried to reproduce the materials and techniques discovered over time. It has also enabled the creation of the term typography with advanced and developing technology by diversifying the writing with long searches, experiments and accumulations. The emergence of typography as a term is based on the use of lead alloys to form metal writings and the conversion of these lead alloys into block molds. Typography enables the development of permanent printing techniques, enabling today's design and printing processes to be done in a simple way under a single system. This research is limited to the emergence of the term typography in terms of fonts, the presence and development of the alphabet, typography, and printing technique. The purpose of this article is to give information about the stages of letter writing that we use today and the information about typography in terms of printing techniques together with these stages. Depending on this reason; the problem of the emergence of typography in terms of development process and printing technique has been tried to be solved. The research conducted in this context was carried out by using the observation and general screening method of qualitative research methods and examining related literature.
