Abstract
Joyce Kozloff 1970'den başlayarak, Los Angeles ve New York'taki feminist sanat çalışmalarına katılmıştır. Bu dönemde Amerika Birleşik Devletlerinde, genel olarak el sanatlarına ve özellikle de kadın zanaatı olarak görülen faaliyetlere sempati duyan, feminist bir eğilim içeren, ‘Desen ve Dekorasyon’ (P&D) hareketi bir grup sanatçı tarafından kurulmuş, sanatçı bu hareketinin önde gelen ve en üretken sanatçılarından birisi olmuştur. Bu bağlamda, uygulamalı ve dekoratif sanatları, özellikle de batılı olmayan dünyanın görsel kültürlerini kaynak ve ilham kaynağı olarak araştırmıştır. Sanat ve zanaat, yüksek ve düşük sanat arasındaki farkı araştırdığı ve engelleri yıkmak için deneyler yaptığı çalışmalar üretmiştir. Bu araştırmanın kapsamı, ‘Desen ve Dekorasyon’ hareketinin kavramsal yapısının, Joyce Kozloff’un üretmiş olduğu seramik alanını kapsayan eserlerine yansımalarıdır. Sanatçının çalışmaları kişisel internet sitesi ve çeşitli kaynaklardan araştırılarak,elde edilen verilerin, çağdaş sanata yansımaları üzerinden sonuçları değerlendirilecektir. Modernist eğilime karşın, dekoratif sanatın da ciddi bir sanat olabileceğinin kabulü anlamında yapılan çalışmaların incelenmesinin seramik sanatı alanına katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

Abstract
Joyce Kozloff has been involved in feminist art studies in Los Angeles and New York, beginning in 1970. In this period, the 'Pattern and Decoration' (P&D) movement was founded by a group of artists in the United States, with a feminist bent, sympathetic to handicrafts in general and women's crafts in particular. The artist became one of the leading and most productive artists of this movement. In this context, she explored the applied and decorative arts, especially the visual cultures of the non-Western world, as sources and inspiration.He has produced works in which he explores the difference between arts and crafts, high and low art, and experiments to break down barriers.The scope of this research is the reflections of the conceptual structure of the 'Pattern and Decoration' movement on Joyce Kozloff's works covering the field of ceramics. The works of the artist will be searched through his personal website and various sources, and the results will be evaluated through the reflections of the obtained data on contemporary art. Despite the modernist tendency, it is thought that the examination of the studies made in the sense of accepting that decorative art can be a serious art will contribute to the field of ceramic art.
