The image of disease, which is among the unlimited sources of inspiration of the Modern artist, has gained another meaning by the artist's interpretation of ugliness as an aesthetic value. The Modern artist has reinterpreted the deformations and forms whose origins are diseases, the challenge to ideal beauty, leaving aside anatomical rules, the incomplete and deformed ugly state of the body has become an image of beauty recreated in the artist's expression. In our research, historically, the transformation of beauty into ugly in the art of painting was given briefly, the reflection and effects of disease on art forms were mentioned, the transformation of plastic transformations of diseased forms in the works of artists determined by a sample of criteria was examined by evaluating the form and content of disease into ugly aesthetics as an art form.
