The city of Diyarbakir, which has been home to many civilizations since ancient times, has continued its commercial feature for centuries. Artuklular, which was established as the mardin center in al-Jazeera region and conquered anatolian lands by Turks, has made the region develop commercially and economicly with its zoning works to improve trade in the region and the increase of agricultural and industrial production it has put into operation with it. Later, the Anatolian Seljuk state dominated Diyarbakir and its surroundings in the region and made the city a center of trade and production with its bayindir works. The Seljuks of Turkey, who encouraged production and trade, exported a large number of agricultural, industrial and mineral products produced in the city to neighboring countries and provided the economic development of the city.
