Abstract


The Factor of Mobbing in Depreciation of Human Capital

Individuals can face various problems in the places they work. One of the most popular and the most contemporary problem is mobbing. Mobbing primarily affects the indiviudal as physical and mental. After that, judicial processes start. Meanwhile, dramatical expenditures are realized in the scopes of health and judgement. However, the most important point in this is the depreciation of human capital. Then, societies can face the risk of economic power loss with the depreciation of human capital. The reason is that when individuals are exposed to mobbing, they enter in a trade-off mechanism. In other words, they ought to allocate the expenditures for health and judgement instead of the expenditures they would make to develop their quality of human capitals. This situation causes the quality of human capital to decrease. And, the depreciation of human capital results in a decrease in production level. In addition, the decrease in production level can cause a decreases in investements and thereby decreasing in employment level. Such kind of mechanism is told in this study. In the study it is emphasized that due to the mobbing individuals are exposed to, health and judgement expenditures increase and this results in depreciation in human capital. The study is ended with the hypothesis that the depreciation of human capital can be blocked by making regulations in the scopes of health and judgement.
