Qualitative and quantitative data are used together in the mixed method.Pre-school teacher candidates were given a design-based STEM education consisting of simple materials for 8 weeks. In obtaining quantitative data, the ‘’Attitude Scale towards Teaching ‘’ applied to candidates before and after the activity was used and the data were analyzed statistically. In order to collect qualitative data, pre-service teachers' opinions about STEM education and activities were analyzed using the "content analysis" method by applying a "semi-structured interview" to pre-service teachers after the activities. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that there was a significant difference in the attitudes of the pre-servise teachers of STEM activities toward the teaching profession. According to the results obtained from the qualitative data, some of the teacher candidates stated that STEM education should be given in Education Faculties and even these trainings should be given starting from early ages, namely preschool children, and these trainings will contribute to the students to gain high-level thinking skills.
