Logistics, one of the main sectors of national economic development, can be expressed as an important determinant affecting the competitiveness of enterprises. However, globalization and increasing competition have caused logistics to become one of the most important factors in foreign trade. In the global economy, foreign trade logistics has a special importance for developing countries to control global trade and to get a share from the gains of globalization. As a matter of fact, all products imported or exported are defini,tely subject to logistic services. In this context, the purpose of this research, the impact on foreign trade of the logistics sector in Turkey particular is detected using time series analysis. For this purpose, a model consisting of four variables was used in the study. The variables in the model used can be expressed as; real foreign trade volume, air and train transport freight quantities, real transport volume and real fixed capital investments. However, the variables in the study were formed by taking into account the annual series for the period 1984-2017. As a result of the analysis carried out in the research, it has been determined that the developments in the transportation sector in Turkey have a positive effect on foreign trade.
