Abstract


Investigation Of Personal Traits And Aggressiveness Attitudes Of The Employees Working In Provincial Directorate Of Youth And Sports

The aim of this study is to investigate the personal traits and aggressiveness of the employees who are working in Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. While population of the study consists of employees in Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia , the sample group of the study consists of 137 staff in total who is volunteer to participate from Erzurum (20), Muş (30), Van (20), Batman (16), Elazığ (21), Bitlis (12) and Bingöl (19). The participants have been given to personal information form created by the researcher, “Five Factor Personality Scale" transcribed to Turkish by Alkan (2007) and developed by John, Donahue and Kentle from America in 1991 and “Aggressiveness Scale" by Tuzgöl (1998). SPSS 22.0 package program has been used for the analysis of the data obtained from the study. In normality test conducted, it has been seen that the data has been dispersed normally and in this context T test has been used to test whether the difference between the averages of two groups is significant or not and ANOVA test has been used to determine the difference between the averages of independent variables more than two and dependent variables is significant or not. Scheffe test which is the analysis of completive post-hoc to identify the difference between the groups after Anova test. Also, pearson correlation and regression analysis have been used to investigate the effect and relation between continuous variables in the research. According to the test results, while it has not been seen that there is a significant difference between the city and personal traits and aggressiveness attitude sub dimension, marital state and educational background, monthly income, position at the institution variable (P>0,05), it has been seen that there is a significant difference between the gender variable and neuroticism which is a sub dimension of personal traits, responsibility sub dimension and the age variable and extroversion sub dimension compatibleness and responsibility sub dimension and working hours (P<0,05). Also when correlation test has been examined, it has been identified that there is a significant, negative and low degree relation between extroversion which is one of the personality traits sub dimensions and aggressiveness (P<0,05). When regression test has been examined, it has been seen that while neuroticism which is one of the personal traits sub dimensions, extroversion and responsibility effect aggressiveness (P<0,05), compatibleness and openness to experience sub dimensions do not effect aggressiveness (P>0,05).
