Abstract


DETERMINATION OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP LEVELS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER CANDIDATES

The objective of this study is to determine whether the pre-service teachers who are studying in the Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department within the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Sport Sciences and School of Physical Education and Sports have entrepreneurship qualifications and to identify whether their entrepreneurship levels vary according to different variables. Entrepreneurship attitudes and levels of students from 10 different universities have been determined according to their answers to the scale form. Accordingly, the entrepreneurship level of the students has been found to be high. It has not been observed that level of entrepreneurship of the students did not change according to gender, university and class variable. There is a significant difference in entrepreneurship levels between the groups whose families have income levels between 0-2000 TL and 6000 TL. It has been thought to be associated with the income due to the fact that capital holds the largest place among the resources required for entrepreneurship activities. It has been identified that the majority of students are informed about entrepreneurship issues via the internet and the visual press, and the majority of them have an entrepreneurial business idea. Entrepreneurship courses should be included in the compulsory curriculum in institutions providing sports education in associate and undergraduate level. It is important to bring successful, experienced business people together with students. The emergence of more entrepreneurs with frequent repetitions of training activities has great importance for our country whose aim is to continuous growth and development.
