Okul Öncesi Öğrencileri İçin Hazırlanan Yeni Nesil Hikâye Kitaplarının Değerler Eğitimi Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract
Hikâye kitapları çocukların duygu, düşünce ve hayal gücünü geliştirmesinin yanı sıra gerekli değerleri kazanmaları, yeni değerler benimsemeleri ve değerleri kişilik haline getirerek davranışa dönüştürmelerinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Yeni nesil hikâye kitapları denildiğinde akla ilk gelen dünyanın en renkli ve şakacı filini konu edinen, özellikle okul öncesi dönemdeki çocuklarına yönelik Mikado Yayınları tarafından 2023 tarihinde basılan “Elmer Serisi” farklılıkların önemine ve gereğine vurgu yapan, kendinle barışık olma mesajı veren hikâye kitaplarıdır. Bu araştırma da, okul öncesi dönem çocuklarına okutulması önerilen “Elmer Serisi” içerisinde yer alan yedi kitabın kök değerlere yer verilme durumunu analiz etmek amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı bu araştırmada, veri toplamak için doküman analizi tekniği tercih edilmiş, verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından 2023 yılında öğretim programlarında öğrencilere kazandırılması için kök değerler olarak belirtilen “Adalet, Dostluk, Dürüstlük, Öz denetim, Sabır, Saygı, Sevgi, Sorumluluk, Vatanseverlik, Yardımseverlik” değerleri ile ilgili eserde yer alan ifadeler belirlenmiş, ardından bu ifadeler yorumlanarak ilgili değerin başlığı altında sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda, değerler eğitimi açısından incelendiği bu eserler içerisinde toplamda seksen sekiz (88) değer içeren cümleye yer verildiği görülmüştür. Hikâye kitaplarında en fazla Sevgi değeri ile ilgili doğrudan verebilecek ve kazandırılabilecek özellikte cümleye yer verildiği görülmüştür. Kitaplarda sevgi değeri çeşitli cümleler ile yoğun olarak hissettirilmiş, farklı yerlerde 23 cümle ile açıkça vurgulanmıştır. Yardımseverlik değeri ise sıkça bahsedilen ikinci değer olup, eserlerde 20 cümle bu değeri kazandırmaya yöneliktir. Bu değerleri sırasıyla; dostluk, öz denetim, adalet, saygı, Sabır, sorumluluk, dürüstlük değeri izlemektedir. Kitaplarda vatanseverlik değerine ise hiç yer verilmediği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

In addition to developing children's emotions, thoughts and imagination, story books have an important place in helping them gain the necessary values today, adopt new values, and transform values into personality and behavior. When it comes to new generation story books, the first thing that comes to mind is the "Elmer Series", which is about the world's most colorful and playful elephant and was published by Mikado Publications in 2023, especially for pre-school children. These are story books that emphasize the importance and necessity of differences and give the message of being at peace with yourself. This research aims to analyze the inclusion of root values in seven books in the "Elmer Series", which are recommended to be read to preschool children. In this research, where qualitative research method was used, document analysis technique was preferred to collect data and descriptive analysis method was used to analyze the data. The expressions in the work regarding the values of "Justice, Friendship, Honesty, Self-Control, Patience, Respect, Love, Responsibility, Patriotism, Helpfulness", which are stated as root values to be taught to students in the curriculum by the Ministry of National Education in 2023, were determined, and then these expressions were interpreted and interpreted. It is presented under the heading of the relevant value. As a result of the research, it was seen that a total of eighty-eight (88) value-containing sentences were included in these works, which were examined in terms of values education. It has been observed that the story books contain the most sentences about the value of Love, which can be conveyed and imparted directly. In the books, the value of love is intensely felt with various sentences and is clearly emphasized in 23 sentences in different places. The value of helpfulness is the second frequently mentioned value, and 20 sentences in the works aim to convey this value. These values are respectively; It is followed by the values of friendship, self-control, justice, respect, patience, responsibility and honesty. It was concluded that the value of patriotism was not included at all in the books.
