Abstract
Elektrik konusu Osmanlı Devleti’nin yeni teknoloji olarak hayata girdiği ilk yıllarda “kaçırmadığı” bir teknoloji transferi olmuştur. Özellikle telgraf kullanımının yaygınlaşmasında Osmanlı Devleti son dönem girdiği savaşların da bir gereksinimi olarak elektrikle çalışan bu teknolojiyi kullanmıştır. Elektrik kullanımı için eğitimli insan ihtiyacı karşılanırken mesleki eğitim anlamında pek çok hamle yapmak gerekmiştir. Cumhuriyet idaresi de yeni kurulan devletin kalkınması için elektrik alanında eğitilmesi gereken insan kaynağını önemsemiştir. Makalemizde Osmanlı son dönemi ve Cumhuriyet idaresinin elektrik eğitimi hakkında neler yaptıkları incelenmiştir.

Abstract
Electricity was a technology transfer that the Ottoman Empire did not ignore in the first years of its introduction as a new technology. Especially in the widespread use of telegraph, the Ottoman Empire used this electrically powered technology as a necessity of the wars that Ottoman Empire was involved in the last period. While compensating the need of educated people in the use of electricity, it was necessary to make a leap forward in terms of vocational education. The Republican administration also attached importance to the human resources that needed to be trained in the field of electricity for the development of the newly established state. In our article, what the late Ottoman period and the Republican administration did about electricity education is analyzed.
