Abstract
Turizm faaliyetlerinin gelişimine etki eden faktörler ve turistik talep ile ilgili çalışmalar turizm alanında temel araştırma konuları olmaları nedeni ile önemlidir. Turistik talebi oluşturan faktörler, turistik faaliyetlerin gelişmesini ve seyahat hareketliliğini etkilemektedir. Turizmin dinamik özelliği turistik hareketliliğin sürekli hızlanarak artışına sebep olmaktadır. Uluslararası turizmin gelişimini etkileyen sosyal ve ekonomik, politik, doğal vb. diğer faktörler turistik talebin yönlendirilmesi bakımından da önemlidir. Turizm sektörünün gelişiminde sektörle doğrudan bağlantısı olmayan birçok dışsal faktörün etkisi bulunmaktadır. Özellikle ekonomik, sosyal, politik ve doğal faktörlerin bir bütünün bu şekillenmeyi etkilemesi yanında beklenmeyen olaylar yani ön görülemeyen riskler sektörün gelişme hızını etkilemektedir. Doğal afetler ve ön görülemeyen diğer riskler, bireyler ve toplumu derinden etkileyerek turizm hareketlerini de önemli ölçüde etkilemeleri sebebiyle turizm sektörünün gelişimi bakımından belirleyici faktörler olmaktadır. Doğal afetlerin ve ön görülemeyen risklerin oluşumunun turizm sektörünün gelişimine yönelik değerlendirmelerin literatürde yoğun olarak yapıldığı çalışmalar mevcuttur. Ancak doğal afetlerin turizm üzerindeki etkilerinin boyutunu ortaya koyan ampirik araştırmalar yeterli değildir. Bu sebeple farklı türdeki afetlerin ulusal ve uluslararası düzeydeki etkilerine yönelik çalışmalar gereklilik arz etmektedir

Factors effecting the development of tourism activities and studies on tourist demand are important because they are the main research subjects in the field of tourism. The factors that create touristic demand effect the development of touristic activities and travel mobility. The dynamic feature of tourism causes touristic activity to increase by constantly accelerating. Other factors such as social and economic, political, natural, which affect the development of international tourism are also important in terms of directing touristic demand. Many external factors are not directly related to the sector in the development of the tourism sector. In addition to the fact that economic, social, political, and natural factors affect this formation as a whole, unexpected events, that is, unforeseen risks, affect the development speed of the sector. Natural disasters and other unforeseen risks are determinant factors for the development of the tourism sector, as they deeply affect individuals and society and also significantly affect tourism movements. There are studies in the literature that evaluate the development of the tourism sector in the formation of natural disasters and unforeseen risks. However, empirical studies revealing the extent of the effects of natural disasters on tourism are not sufficient. For this reason, studies on the effects of different types of disasters at the national and international levels are necessary.
